Car Seat inspection in BC, other then BCAA

Wondering who one should see to get the car seat inspected, other then waiting for a BCAA clinic in our area. I live in Coquitlam.

There's a BCAA Burnaby check on the 26th, a Coquitlam one on the 31st...and there's one in Whalley at the Price Mart foods on the 24th, that's also put on by BCAA. You can call 877-247-5551 to arrange an appointment at any of these checks. I also do private checks, but I'm in Delta.

thanks, i am aware of those clinic, but with working full time, it's kind of hard to make the daytime clinics. Hopefully a someone locally will speak up or can we go to firehalls like they do in Ontario?

You work weekends and weekdays both? That does make it tough to get a check.. I don't know what to suggest really; Maybe someone more "local" than 20 minutes away will get back to you to schedule something in the evening. Good luck.

I found an evening check. It's one of the few firehalls that does them--Richmond Firehall 604-278-5131 does them on some Wednesday nights from 7-9pm by appointment. Most firehalls do not have CRSTs, so this is rare and you can't just walk into a firehall and expect a CRST on staff.. The other thing you could do is call your local health unit and see if they have a CRST on staff, since Richmond is probably a ways for you.

Mission Child Safety Committee do car seat checks at the Mission Fire Hall usually once a month. Next one is Aug 8th, 2-4pm. You can call 604-768-6733 they may have someone who could do a private check sooner.
