I have the belt stalk turned 1 full time, if I un-turn it the latch plate is right on the belt path. Does that make sense??

It looks good to me. What are you sulking about with it? I couldn't  my Uptown as much as I wanted to! It just didn't fit my son good!

I believe she's concerned about the way the locking clip is resting on the belt path.

Tumble, do you have to use the locking clip? Your car looks new enough that the seat belts lock, so I assume you're using it to avoid tipping. I can actually install RF seats w/o tipping by pressing on the seat near the belt path on the opposite side of the buckle, while tightening the seat belt by pulling it from just above the latchplate. (Sorry if that sounds very elementary, just figured I'd put it out there for you. :o)

Yeah, the looking clip was to prevent tipping. When I shake it hard to check the install it starts tipping. I can't imagine making a quick turn, it would be resting on the seat! I actually was just out there playing some more and got a decent install with LATCH so we'll see how that holds up.

I do think the locking clip is a bit too far from the latchplate, but I'm seeing why you're sulky about it. I'm not sure there's room to move it closer to the latchplate and still not be tilted at the edge of the beltpath.

I think I'd be stuck with the Really Hard Install Tricks - sweating, swearing, and removing my shoes! ;) I hope the LATCH install works!

Remember there is no need to shake it hard. Just firm tugging is fine. You should only be checking for movement at the beltpath. There just need to be less than 1 inch of movement side to side and front to back at the beltpath.

I would remove the locking clip and only lock the seatbelt. Once you have it tight if you think you want it a little tighter then unbuckle it and let it feeback int to the retractor 2-3 clicks and rebuckle. :twocents:

If you twist 2 full turns, is there space for the locking clip outside the belt path without it resting on the edge?

I have Toyotas, so I have no problem with twisting 2 or 3 times ;) I'd never be able to install a seat with the seatbelt otherwise.

No comment on the install, but I just wanted to say WoW--you have a really clean car! :p I want a clean car....
