recaro carseat

my friend is selling her recaro carseat & i have a question i need answered pretty quick. she bought it new "in germany". she says in 2007. it's a young expert carseat. can i use it here in the us? is it safe? please let me know. thanks.

Nope, it is not tested by or certified by our government, so it does not meet the FMVSS213, the requirement for our seats here in the US.
