My friend has her 2 month old in an Evenflo Embrace bucket seat. The harness straps look like they are threaded backwards around the thigh area. I re-threaded one side the other way. Which way is correct?

She didn't have the manual with her, and I can't find one online to download. Anybody have a manual or a link to one?

(That is my DD's cabbage patch doll, BTW, not her DC! ;) )

TIA!

We have the same seat and ours looks like the one on the right (when you are looking at it, not the doll's right). I can go get the manual if you need me to.

Really? That is the one I did. I thought the other way looked wrong but she said that was how it came, they never re-threaded them. I think her mother of BF did maybe?

Thanks.

My coworker has an Embrace too and those stupid things were like that when she got it. Lame. I fixed them for her and then when her DH moved the straps up he un-fixed them and I had to do them again, LOL. I showed her how it got narrow right where the twist was and how that wasn't good for her wittle bebe's chubby thighs :P and she was happy to have me fix it.

If you don't know how to fix it let me know, took me a while because the Embrace has those metal clips instead of a continuous harness strap underneath... and I kept twisting and nothing happened, lol.

When looking at the picture, the one on the right is the correct way. The one on the left is twisted/flipped. I deal with this seat a lot at our hospital, and I find the easiest way to make sure they don't twist (because it is an EASY mistake to make), is to actually buckle the straps and then push the hip portion of the harness into the crevice. It works every time! HTH!

Thanks Katie and ShumNum.

As I mentioned before, the one on the left is the way it came and the one on the right is the one I changed. It wasn't hard to change it, I the metal clip on the underside and popped it into the shell, twisted and popped it back out to the underside of the shell and snapped it back into place.

I am surprised to hear that they come threaded the wrong way. What is up with that?
