So we'll be visiting in-laws next week and we'll be using their vehicle ('99 Dodge Caravan). I'm pretty sure that they did not take this in for retrofitting of top tethers. Can I just find a part that attaches to the floor (like the seat rail for our '03 Subaru Impreza and '03 Toyota Tacoma) and attach the top tether there?
We're still RF-ing btw.
Also, are there top tethers in other vehicles that's specifically for RF?

You don't need to worry about TAs for a rf seat. You just use the tether connector strap (d-ring) that came with your seat- the same as you do at home. Very few vehicles have dedicated rf tether anchors. However, you can tether a rf 3rd row seat to an unused 2nd row TA (provided the vehicle has them).
For the future, you may want to convince them to have TAs retrofitted before she is ff. Chrysler will do it for free. Here's the pertinent information-
part numbers-
second row: 04864118AB
third row: 05018506AA
Refer to technical service bulletin23-008-00 Rev B.

Thanks! I never even thought about that (us visiting when DS would be FF). Just talked to FIL and he agreed. Called up the nearest Dodge/Chrysler distributor too and they can do it. Took a bit of explaining though for them to understand what I was talking about. Thank you for the reference and part numbers. :)
