Vehicle LATCH limits- does that include the weight of the CRS?

That's basically my question above.
So do we have to weigh the CRS separately and add the weight of our child to see if we are under the LATCH limits for the specific vehicle that we have?

No, that's already taken into consideration. It's only the weight of the child.

No, the rule is that you just count the weight of the child (as PP said). It is one of those confusing things, though -- e.g. a child in a Regent clearly weighs a lot more than that same child in a Scenera... but you still count only the weight of the child. Just proves that there is a lot of margin in the stated LATCH limits on vehicles, I guess, since vehicle manufacturers don't know what you are going to install.

Yeah that was what I thought too until I talked to our local SK coordinator and she said that the LATCH limits included the weight of the CRS.
But thank you for the clarification. :)
