Expiration Dates

So I am selling my Graco Safeseat in a tag sale and my cousin is selling her Graco Snugride. I have the manufactor dates off of everything but I need know when they expire. How many years?

Six years.

If I recall correctly, Graco allows you to use the seat until December of the year it expires. Please check the plastic shell, though. It is stamped into the shell.

its usually on the bottom of the seat (flip it over) either under the "butt" area or down by the feet - i have seen it in both places.

So it will have the actual expiration date? I found the manufactor dates but I just needed the expiration dates.

It should say, "Do not use after..."

Yes, please check the shell -- it may be either a written date or a sort of clock dial version to show the expiration.... Contacting the toll free customer service number is always a good idea, too :)

I also suggest filling out the Used Seat Checklist from www.cpsafety.org to share with potential buyers ;)

As a general rule, I understand that most carseats expire 6 years to the day of the manufacture date.

Thank you so much for all of the information. I am definietly going to fill out that checklist. I am so anal about car seats that I want to provide as much information as possible.
