I own a 2007 Hyundai Elantra and have been trying to install my son's car seat in this car. Anyway, when I try to install my son's car seat in the forward facing position in the center position with the seat belt the seat belt loosens after I get done driving. The same thing happens when I try to put his car seat in the outboard position on the passenger side back seat with the seat belt. The funny thing is the car seat has a great fit on the drivers side back seat. I make sure that the seat belt retracts and is solid before leaving the car seat. Here is another kicker, is that my son's Britax Regent works great in the center position with the seat belt. It has been so hot lately and the Britax Regent makes my son sweat really bad, so I thought that I would get some more use out of the FPSVD. Thanks for your help!

Is the center seat belt a lap belt only? If it is try flipping the male end of the seat belt 180 degrees ( one half turn) it should lock properly then.

No. It is a lap and shoulder seat.

Have you tried unbuckling once you get the install tight the first time, retracting another 1-2 clicks and re-buckling? That usually works for us. The other thing we sometimes need to do (more with the Radians) is scoot the bottom of the seat slightly away from the seat back, and push straight down. Then the seat does not have the range to move forward slightly and loosen the fit.

I will give that a try, or just put my Regent back into the car. Thanks for your help.
