Somebody w/a LATCH manual....?

I have a friend who has a 2000 Honda Odyssey. I need to know what her LATCH and top tether situation is like. Right now she says she's got her carseats' top tethers attached to "something" under the seats. I have no idea what she has them attached to, but it sounds dangerous. Also, she doesn't think she has any top tethers behind the 3rd row. Do you know if she really does? And if not, do you know if Honda will retro-fit them?

The 2000 Odyssey has 2 TAs on the floor under the second row captain's chairs- so she may have them correct.

She can have TAs added to the third row. There are 3 8mm weld nuts in the rear tailgate sill. The part number is 82410-SE3-C01 and is the same for all Honda vehicles. It is called the Plate Assembly and costs about $13 for the part. Labor will be more, but it's something that is possible to do yourself.

That's great! So she can get 3 TA's put in behind the 3rd row? That's not fair! I'm stuck w/just my one in my 2005 Ody. Although I'm probably going to have some put in anyway (not by the dealership, since they won't do it). I know a guy who does after-market stuff all the time (which I know isn't always great when it comes to car-related stuff), but he's done a bunch of TA installs and says he always installs them to the chassis and uses heavy-duty TA's.

2005 really isn't fair. 01-04 can have 3 (they come with 1, but you can move it or add two more) and 06 and newer come with 3.
