2000 dodge dakota ext. cab

I have a new born child, that needs a rear facing car seat. Can anyone help me with.. What the best place for one in a 2000 dodge dakota ext cab is? Im trying to find one that can fit in the back bench seat, but the space is limited. Im having troubles. If anyone knows of one that can fit back there. Plz let me know of the make and model of the car seat.

Are the seats in the back forward-facing or do they face the side? Side-facing seats are NOT compatible with any carseat.

What carseats have you tried so far? While there may not be someone here who is familiar with your vehicle, if you post the carseats you've tried that were too big, someone may be able to say "Oh, this other carseat is smaller than that one."

Dakota has a regular bench in back, albeit small, in both their quad cab and extended cab.
