My ds's regent is usually in the drivers side captain chair. We are going on vacation and my parents will be riding with us. So I would like to install his Regent in the third row of our Town and Country. I just went out and played with it a little and have a couple of questions. We have a pre advisory regent. I tried to install lbp with recline bar third row outboard. The buckle was not long enough, actually short quite a bit. So I could get it in with the lbp no recline bar but just barely. The manual (old directions) says it needs the recline bar if not tethered. I only have one tether location in the third row. I need to look at the van manual but I think it is for center. It is not centered on the back of the seat though. Can any one help me with this install or is it impossable to install it third row?
Sorry this is long and confusing. I have only tried this install one other time in my parents van and gave up.
We will be traveling for two days four adults and two children. One regent and one rf marathon

A few tiny tricks that a tech here taught me to get that 3rd row install..

You can route the seatbelt under the cover of the Regent to add a little seatbelt length.

You can recline the 3rd row seat, install with seatbelt or latch, then shove the vehicle seat upright from behind (easier with 2 people). This tightens everything up.

Can you do LBP latch back there? I can't place a T and C 06.

No latch in third row and I don't think the seats recline in the third row. :(But yes reclining the captians chairs makes for a super easy install.

Is there a strap on the front or back of the seat to pull? My SIL has an 06 or 07 T and C and hers does. It'll be a strap that extends from the back or front of the seat.

Oops My dh says they do recline. I just couldn't figure that out. And it is an 05.;)

My 2006 T&C has Latch (off set center). Are you sure yours doesn't? The only installs I've had to do with a Regent in the 3'rd row were with the SBP (I have a post advisory regent and the child was over 40 pounds) using a seat belt. I've done it in the center as well as out board. I've also done center Latch with the LBP.

I'm not sure that the 3'rd row reclines. I know it tips back (the whole entire bench) and the back can also fold down, but I don't think it reclines.

I looked in the manual and it says it should have latch in the center. I still haven't gotten a chance to look. But that doesn't help out our situation because an adult will need to sit in the back also. The Regent in the center will take up most of the third row!

Just went and checked. It does have off center latch position. And the seats do recline (stow n'go seats)! So next step is to try with the seat reclined and all the weight I can find to see if I can get it buckled!!

i have a 2006 town and country with stow and go. The touring edition. you can not change the recline on the seat. I have my regent latched in there for my dd who weighs 37 lbs. You can fit an average size adult in there as i have put the 1/3 seat in the stow mode before, so there is room for an adult. Although as i have sat there numerous times, i will say it is not the most comfy seat with the angle the seat sits at regardless of carseat being there or not.

Will you need an adult back there though? I'd probably put both car seats in the third row (you will likely still need to put the Regent outboard - I can only fit my RN next to the Regent when it's in the center) and let the adults have the captain's chairs. Unless of course you think it'll just be easier to have someone back there to tend to the children - that's understandable.

I'm sure it can be done, but that Regent can be difficult to figure out sometimes. Good luck!
