View Full Version : Tether locations in Windstar?
I think she said it is a 2000.
She said her hub was concerned about there not being TAs in the van. I told her they were 'ok'. Yes, tethering is ideal, but she was 'ok'. (not to freak out over that right now or anything) That I would help her check into getting them installed.
So what can you tell me regarding a 2000 Ford Windstar? And while we're at it...a GMC Yukon XL (I don't know the year, but these are really recent, right? the switch from Suburbans to Yukon XL ??)

The Windstar has a full set of top tether anchors in 2000, including one for the front passenger seat in some trim levels. There are also 4 LATCH locations.
The top tether anchors can be tricky to find the first time, as they are under the bottom of the seat. There is a good illustration in the Windstar Owner's manual, including an important diagram on how to attach the hook.

We had a 99. Here is a cruddy TA pic. Also, the 2000 manual that came with mine said it had LATCH. So, she may have LATCH too! :)

A+ for inverting the tether hook ;-)
Awesome! Thanks! I told her to check her manual, and I would have asked for it whenever she asked me to check her installs, but just in case there was anything goofy or she didn't have the manual...
Thank ya much :thumbs up:
