I've seen several posts in the last couple of days in multiple forums (not moved, just in more than one forum) I don't know if there's just a rash of cross-posting going on, if I'm losing my mind and not switching forums when I intend to, or if there is something buggy going on with the forums.

But anyway I figured if I posted it here it would either get ignored (if people are cross posting), get fixed (if it's a program issue), or someone would very kindly break the news to me that I'm a total nutjob (if I'm a nutjob)

IF you're talking about the double stroller thread(s) - he said in the message that he was cross-posting.

I did a double take too.

Cross posting between forums isn't allowed, and when it's spotted by moderators the thread in the least appropriate forum(s) is deleted or merged with the thread in the appropriate forum.

If you notice duplicate posts and they've been there awhile, feel free to report it and it'll be dealt with. It's easier for duplicates to get missed if one is in community member chat and one is in the carseat area vs if both are in the carseat forums etc as there isn't always moderator cross-over between areas. So if you're spotting them, it's a safe bet we just haven't noticed them yet and reporting them will assist us in keeping them from cluttering up the forum.

The forum guidelines (http://www.car-seat.org/announcement.php?f=6) were updated relatively recently and I'd encourage everyone to read them if they haven't already. Cross posting is addressed in them.

That is one of them, but he said he was cross posting into the Stoller board, I saw it in two places other than that.

I've seen a couple other ones in recent days but can't think off the top of my head which ones they were.

We definitely appreciate Reported Posts. While we don't always react to every one of them, there is usually at least a discussion if it isn't an obvious problem. It's getting to the point to where it's impossible for us to monitor every thread, so member reports are a big help. Thanks!
