Hi,

I'm so glad I found this seat...been googling "car seat" & "CR-V" when I came across it. Have read quite a few posts but I guess my knowledge isn't sufficient enough in chhosing t he best car seat that will suit our needs.

We live in Canada. Our twins will turn 1 in a month but we would like to keep them rear facing as long as we can... is it up to 30 pounds only or 35 pounds? We plan to purchase new car seats for them in the next few months... the twins are around 17-18 lbs and their infant carriers go up to 22 lbs only...

We've narrowed down our choices to britax marathon, boulevard, or the SK radian. They will be installed in the rear driver and passenger side. The thing is, I want to be able to sit in the rear middle seat occasionally (so that if hubby is driving, I can entertain them by sitting beside them). We plan on purchasing a van within 1-2 years so by the time they go forward facing, we will likely install them in the van.

Which car seat would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not going to be much help but we have a 2006 CRV and up until recently had a Britax Roundabout and a Marathon back there, In the past the RA was even RF. They install like rocks in the CRV, but don't leave much room for the middle.

We now have a Marathon and a Frontier both FF back there, and even less middle seat room. (maybe 11" across??)

I think the only person that could fit there would be my tall/thin 10 yo nephew, and even that would have to be just in a pinch.

I've never tried a radian in the CRV because after much research decided that it probably wouldn't be compatible with our seats/seatbelts. I don't know about the 2002 CRV's but the 2006 has seatbelts that are very forward of the bight (crease) of the backseat, and this creates a problem with getting a good install with the Radian.
