I'm assuming you mean Radian? (Usually RA means Roundabout, so that's why I ask. ;))
The Frontier's top harness height is higher than the Radian. Britax gives 18.5" as the top harness height although it's measuring more like 18.25". SK gives the Radian top slots a measurement of 18", and it tends to measure a bit lower as well.
My :twocents:, FWIW, is that unless you a) need the seat right away and b) want to be able to use it rf'ing, you'd be much better waiting for the Frontier. There's such a small difference in price between a Radian premier and the Frontier, and the Frontier will turn into a booster. For a ff'ing child it will be the last seat a kid needs between the high harness height, high booster guides, and the 9yr expiry date. So unless you're needing a convertible, I don't think I'd put the Radian and the Frontier in the same playing field. (Just my honest opinion. )

I know this is probably stated elsewhere....
But, when is it supposed to come out??
We're looking for something right now, and if it's not going to be TOO long...I might just wait for it.
Thanks!

Best guess is it should be on store shelves within the next 2 mos. It's passed CMVSS standards, and Britax is in the process of writing the manual for it. At the Britax chat a couple weeks ago it was estimated 60 to 90 days. The original estimate was end of June, so I'm thinking it won't be the full 3 mos. We'll get an idea when the manuals show up online though - they'll show up right around when they start shipping, and will be available in some stores within a week or two after that depending on how their distribution works.

Top slot height is so subjective to how the child fits in the seat and where the seat is installed in the vehicle. I've heard various people say the top slot height on the Frontier is not much different than the Radian, if different at all. Even so, the Frontier turns into a good booster afterwards and if it installs well in your vehicle, it would probably be a better choice. :)
I'm waiting to make my judgement until I see one IRL and get to test DS1 out in it... he's my guinea pig for *true* top slot height and not just measured top slot height. :D

thanks, I really do want to wait for the frontier, I think it's going to be the best for us, assuming it fits in our truck (fingers crossed) that's my biggest fear....it not installing correctly. will online stores have it before the "brick and morter" stores?

Probably. Babyproofingplus gets seats very fast from Britax. But it's hard to say with certainty. I imagine TRU online will ship out just as fast since you can preorder and it would ship directly from the warehouse at the same time it shipped to stores. (Assuming it'll be carried in store.)
