We got our Big Lots ad today in the mail and they have the Uptown for $65, so if anyone is looking for a higher weight RF seat, for not to much money. Check them out.

Ooh, if our's has one, I might convince DH we need one since he ruined our scenera. :rolleyes:

ETA: I just looked it up and our local flier has it so hopefully the store does too. I like how it says "colors vary by store". LOL

That is a great price!! Our Fred Meyer just started carrying this - for only $150! :mad:

It will be interesting to see if there are other colors - I know some websites showed it in tan at one point, but I only ever saw blue ones IRL.

You know I don't think the average person is buying carseats at big lots. I think what happens is we have seats that we think are overpriced so they don't sell well so eventually they end up at big lots at a price we think is good. So then we run out and tell everyone and we go out and buy up all the seats.

Kinda like the compass infant seat. I'd be willing to bet that half the board has one of those put away even if they don't have a baby.:rolleyes:

I say this because whenever I mention big lots as an option to people they look at me like I'm insane:whistle:

Is it wider than a Scenera/Touriva/Tribute? Might it work in Faeanne's daycare van? (3 across rear bench in a Caravan with a SR/C on either side)

I'm thinking that this would be an excellent seat for my parents to get, as it wouldn't get used all that often, but it would certainly make life easier when they came to visit, or if we flew to Texas or Oklahoma to see them. I think I'll call my Mom about her getting this seat.

Width is the same as a Scenera, but it sits a lot lower so I find it a little tougher to puzzle with seats. Here is a pic of the Uptown next to a Scenera.

Dammit....I wish I needed one! I was looking for one a few months ago but then I got my MA...maybe I should get it anyway? Trying to think of a reason to buy it.

ETA: I just found out that my husband's friend's wife can get me 15% off at Big Lots (she works for Sears) which makes the seat like $55!

I wish I could buy one. I am planning on getting 2 sceneras for my van, but I am getting both of the pink covers for my nieces, and then use the blue one I already have for Matthew when he is born. Then everyone's seats can be different.

I picked one up. As much as I'd love a monet True Fit I couldn't resist the price, especially since DC may not be with us permanently. I played with it a little & was pleasantly surprised. Plus it has a 4/2008 DOM and is good till 12/2016! There's no way will be still be needing it by then, but at least it will have lots of life so we can pass it on to someone else. :)

Does any one know how the Scenera (or Touriva) and the Uptown puzzle next to each other? I would have 2 RF or 1 RF/1 FF.
