Need to doublecheck something with measuring torso

So...
I need to measure ds' torso.
Do I measure from shoulder to crotch?
Shoulder to bum?
Not sure and wanting to make sure I'm getting it right.

Sit him upright against a wall, mark where his shoulder is. I think if he crosses his legs his torso may be slightly higher so use that measurement.

Have him sit on the floor with his back against the wall, and his legs criss-cross-applesauce, and measure from the floor to the point of the shoulder.

If your kiddo is too young to sit up, lay a flexible measuring tape in his carseat, and measure where his shoulders are.
