I was just curious if there is any news about the Regent coming to Canada ever? Right now, my almost 3 year old is riding ff in a Marathon. We just had another girl in March, who is currently in her infant seat. I was hoping back when we got my older dd's MA that maybe if I had a girl again, and the Regent would come here at some point and I would be able to give the MA to the baby and switch my dd to a Regent. Well, we did end up having another girl, and now thinking that all hope of my plan is lost. Lol. If I knew that it was on the horizon, I would try and keep the baby in her infant seat as long as possible, but I'm thinking that likely I'll just end up having to get another MA for her. Anyways, I was just curious if there was any news about it. Thank you!

As far as I know there is no plan for the Regent to come to Canada. There have been rumors in the past, but they have turned out to be just rumors.
The Frontier may be an option for you depending on how soon you need it. It is a combination seat from Britax that has a 65lb limit and 18.25" top harness height. There are lots of threads about it in the main carseat forum. Best guess right now on it's arrival is in about 2 months. They're working on the manual for it last update we had, so once the manual is finished then they'll be able to start shipping them.
There are some other seats available with tall harness height and higher weight limits now - the True Fit from Compass/The First Years has just become available, it's a 65lb weight limit seat as well and has a 35lb rf'ing limit. The harness height is a little taller than the MA. There is also the Radian that has a 65lb weight limit and top slots are taller than both the MA and True Fit. There's also the EFTA which has a 47lb weight limit - so not as high a weight limit, but taller harness height than the MA. Most kids outgrow the MA by weight around 50'ish lbs anyways if not sooner. Some kids outgrow it before hitting 40lbs, so depending on the build of your kiddo weight limit may or may not be an issue.
So there are some options aside from another MA that can be considered as well if you need another seat before the Frontier is available. With an older child I'd be inclined to go more in the direction of the Radian since it will last year a good year or more longer in the harness than another MA will.

Oh yay, the Frontier looks promising. I'm not a huge fan of the fact that it's patterns aren't all really pretty, but at least there's some amount of pink. Lol. I considered the True Fit, but then I decided I'd just feel better about having a Britax. Even though there's no real reason to feel that way.

For some reason I'm thinking Canada isn't getting the pink Frontier?? *Just* the tan/black, and red/black. I'm not sure though (and hope I'm wrong lol -- I too want the pink someday), so hopefully Trudy might have heard??

Just the Gray and the Tan one's are coming right now. :( Hopefully if there's good demand for those than the red and pink ones will come. We can hope anyways.
