I was checking out some seats at my Canadian Tire today (their Floor models), and happened to look at the RF weight limit on this seat and it said RF 5-35 pounds.....I was shocked.....so I checked the DOM and it was dated for 2004.....was this seat at some point a RF to 35 pounds in Canada? And I'm just looking at one of the few seats that WAS RF past 30 pounds....

I've checked their website and the blurb about the seat states it can only be used RF to 30 #.....

Yes, all the Cosco/Dorel seats for a brief period of time had a 35lb rf'ing limit. They dropped the limit some point in 2004, so you were actually looking at a seat with the higher rf'ing limit. :thumbsup:

Being how old it is, you can probably get them to significantly lower the price on it. It's a decent width so it's ok for 3 across and is very much like a scenera in terms of padding etc. If you can get a good price on it, and have need for the rf'ing limit & narrower width, it's worth buying IMO. :thumbsup: (Decent price I'd want to pay less than $40 since it only has 2yrs life left on it, but $40 for a 35lb rf'ing limit seat that would work for 3 across isn't a bad thing. ;))

I'd be ALL over it, except its a disply model and I really don't trust that....*sigh* I checked and couldn't find any boxes of them either.

Yeah, don't blame you on that one considering it's probably been a display for close to 4yrs now. :eek:

Our CT had some regal rides the last time I looked, but the DOM were new enough that they didn't have 35lb rf'ing limits.
