Can anyone help? My wife and I spent almost two hours trying to install the Frontier in the middle seat of a 2005 Ford Explorer. No matter what we tried it would not tighten up securely. We could not get it stop rocking back and forth. When read the booklet, downloaded a copy of the manual from Britax without luck.

Wow, that must have been a frustrating two hours. You're dedicated to give it that much of a go.

Does your vehicle allow LATCH in the center position?
If you were trying LATCH, did you pull the tails through the slots in the shell and cover so that you were pulling from the front?
If using the seatbelt, did you try reaching through the front so your are pulling at a better angle?
Is the latchplate hitting against the beltpath and prohibiting the seatbelt sufficiently tight? If so, you can twist the buckle stalk up to three full twists of 360 degrees each.
Did you try the LBP (http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=43800)?
Can your vehicle seat recline? Sometimes it helps to recline the seatback, tighten the belt and then bring the seat back upright.

Where were you checking for movement? You need only grasp it at the beltpath and tug- no extreme force necessary. The top may still move until you tighten the tether (but make sure the bottom is tight before doing the tether).
