my friend has a 2003 Ford Windstar. She says that there are no tether points. I referred her to her manual. But can anyone show me where they are? Can someone give pics? Tell me where to find them?

According to the LATCH manual, the 00-03 Windstar had full LATCH in all outboard positions (4). The center of the third row has a TA and can be used with carseats that allow for non-standard spacing. It also has one additional TA on the back of the front passenger seat (great for rf tether). It doesn't list the other positions, but for the 99 it says the TAs are on a bar under the second row captain's chairs and on the back of the 3rd row bench seat. I would expect that to carry over.

IIRC, it's just a hole in a metal bar under the seat. Someone's posted pics before; did you trying searching the forums for "Windstar" and "tether?"

Here ya go...a pic of my nasty underseat. It's just a little hole on the bottom of the seat. She also has LATCH. Also, they clip on backwards per Ford. :)

thank you! So it is cut out of the frame or something hey? I will crawl under her seat and have a look for it then show her. I am going with her to get a Radian on Wednesday

Hmm...I don't know that a Radian will work. The buckle stalks are looong and rigid. A total PITA. On the captain's chairs, that is.

she is planning on using the LATCH. She prefers it. I offered to try my seat in there first but she said she would just pick one up. :shrug-shoulders:
I did offer at least but she thinks it would be fine. We don't have much options for high weight convertable seats in canada. She can't spend the money for a Britax...

Yeah, my kids would outgrow the Radian around the 48lb LATCH limit, so it wouldn't be a big deal to me. If her kiddo is heavier, she can just send them to the 3rd row after 48lbs. Not a bad deal.
