So this is the way the GN low back fits in my car 95 honda civic let me know if this is ok.it does sit flat in the seat and flat against the back its just up against the buckle. In some pics the buckle is turned backwards because I twisited it for a harness install and its stuck so the red release button is facing the booster seat and other pics I did twist the buckle where the red release button is facing the right way. the edge of the GN does touch the buckle part but not the webbing and I can access the to buckle it and unbuckle. It would be a pain in the butt but its doable.

The low back is not needed for a while but this will determine if I get another GN for this car or not. I hate to spend another $150 just for harness use. and then still have to get another booster for this car. Harness can be used all the way and I was planning on just moving it from truck to car etc, but its too darn heavy even dh said it would be too heavy to move all the time.

i would be *very* concerend about the seat being up against the buckle release. one good pothole and the seat could come unbuckled and you wouldnt know it.

even if the release button is facing the right way? I had asked this before about using a RSTV when dd outgrow the harness for this car and everyone still said boosters are better even low back ones over the RSTV. I have yet to come across a booster that is less then 10 inches wide so it wont be touching the buckle and less then 32 inches high when fully extended.
I do have lap only in the middle with tether and the RSTV will work in the middle better then outboard because of the no sp. The RSTV will be used in this car only and my Great Grandmas TransAm as thats a long story its the best for that car eveyonce in a while thing.

You would definitely need to turn it around so that the release button was facing outward, but otherwise I don't think it's a problem.

For a carseat install, I don't like to see the seat "leaning" on the buckle, but with a booster, when I picture it in my mind, a booster is going move up and away from that position before the seat belt "catches" the booster/child, yk? I think it's going to straighten out a bit before crash forces are exerted on it.
