Hi, does anyone know how to get the booster detached from the car seat? And also, how do you loosen the straps? I just bought this one brand new, and I know that there are not that great of reviews, but I didn't realize that the manual is missing, and I can't return it. It seems to be a lot better than what I have, more cushioning, but I can't figure it out!

What do you mean booster detached? You mean taking the base off the seat to make it more narrow for installation?

By removing the booster from the carseat, I'm guessing you mean removing the base from the Intera? I'm not sure of how to do that exactly, but you can input the date of manufacture and model number from your Interra on the Safety First web site at http://www.safety1st.com/instructions/ to download a copy of the instruction manual. :) IIRC, the Intera has a harness adjuster down near where the child's feet would dangle. You raise the harness adjuster lever and pull on the harness straps to loosen the straps, and just pull on the harness adjuster strap to tighten up the harness.

I think there is a metal bar that keeps the booster portion of the seat attached, I believe you have to remove that, but I cant remember where it is on the seat.

There is a metal bar running under the seat that holds the LLB in place. Push the tab holding it to one side, then pull the bar out and the main car seat comes off. To loosen the harness find the "tail" of webbing at the front of the seat (where child's knees would fold over the front of the seat) that webbing goes under a metal mechanism called an A-lock. push on the top of the A-lock and hold it in while you pull out on the shoulder harness.
The Safety First web site has downloadable instructions.

HTH, good luck!
