Trying not to be rambling here :o

My DS got his new Regent today, and just by looking at it, his shoulders are a hair under the lowest harness height. But, when I stuck my fingers straight back, they actually went through the second highest holes. The buckle is going through the bottom holes. To reach those with my fingers I needed to angle them down. Does this mean that the cover is misleading me and he needs to have the buckle moved up to the second highest? Is it normal for the cover slots to be that far off? Will that change dramatically once it is installed? If I do need to move the harness up which slots to I put them in? The ones that it lines up with (lowest on cover, second lowest on seat) or the second lowest on the cover, which would be pretty high above his shoulders)

Oy, thanks for wading through that :p I am not sure if I could even get pictures to show what I mean lol.

First of all, how old/big is the kiddo?

2nd of all, it is pretty common for there to be a discrepancy between the harness slots in the seat and the harness slots in the cover. It shouldn't be a HUGE discrepancy though. In any case, you don't go by where they are in the cover, but where they are in the shell of the seat, and in the Regent they should be at or above his shoulders.

Just checked back, thanks for the reply. He is 37 lbs and I cannot for the life of me remember how tall he was back in November. He ended up being on the second lowest height (going by the shell itself). I installed it this afternoon and he looks great in it! I thought he would have been smaller in it than he actually was, and was surprised that he needed the second slot.
