I got a successful ff install in the center position of my 2004 CR-V with a Radian! As far as I know, it has been pretty much accepted that the Radian was a complete no-go in that position (I've tried it twice before with no success), so I just wanted to post in case there were other CR-V owners who really want to put that seat in that position.
Here's what I did:
1. put down the recline foot on the Radian
2. lay the CR-V seat back as far as it will go (the key!)
3. install the Radian as tightly as possible- push back, down and lay the Radian back (towards the seatback)- to get the belt as tight as it will go
4. pull with all my might to get the seat back upright (would be a snap with 2 people)
5. attach and tighten top tether
Voila! Rock solid install.
Okay, well, hope this helps someone. I'm going to go get all sweaty and frustrated today (supposed to be 100 today!) and try this rfing. Not as hopeful on that one, but I'm always up for a challenge. ;)
