View Full Version : Has anyone installed tethers in a Dodge Ram '94-'01?
I am working with a mom through the KDMF. She and I both have Dodge Ram trucks. I went to the dealer today to find out how much it will cost. It is $25, for three, and $68 for labor! Yikes! So I thought, if I can learn how to take to back portion of the seat off myself. then I could probably handle doing to tether part. The bolt is already there. Has anyone done this?

I don't have experience installing the tether anchors, but wanted to say that it should be done free of charge for retrofittable Dodge owners according to the Dodge section of the LATCH manual, which lists the service bulletin for dealers to be reimbursed by Chrysler corporate for retrofitting tether anchors:

I'd either show the LATCH manual info. to the dealership service dept. to nudge them into doing it at no charge to the vehicle owner, or find another dealership who won't charge for parts and labor and follows the policy. :twocents:
When he told me how much, I say wow. He said, yeah, that is cheap! I said, no, most dealerships do it for free!
