I look at the album all the time to convince people that RF is best. I was wondering how many children in the album are from mom's who hang out here? I recognize a few, but just curious about how many there are from here?

I just emailed the site about putting my 8 year olds picture in the Harnessed passed 40 album. It takes a while.

BTW... Mine is Stella in the RF one!

Yes, H is in the extended harnessing album, but they are all really old pics (2+ years old). I should send the last ones I took right before she went to a booster full-time around 49/50 inches tall.

I count 35 kids who I *know* have parents who hang out here. :)

There could be more!

ETA: The above is in the ERF album. I will go check the EH album.

I count 21 kids in the EH album (who have parents I *know* hang out here).

Not only are my kids there, but I've MET Jen M (the creator of cpsafety) :)

William and Ryan are both on the ERF page.

I just sent new pics of Ryan EH and Josh in his booster to update Jen.

Me too. Joy is in the ExRF page, should be on the ExH page and the boys should be on the booster page.

She was at Lifesavers last year and we got to hang out with her some.

She lives (or did) down by Indy and came up for one of Phil's checks. Awesome person!

The one I 'worked' from a Dutalier 8+ months pg w/ Ryan newly released from partial bedrest.

Is it just me, or do all the 1 yos look super tiny? I think my perception is skewed from hanging out here, but I can't imagine anyone thinking they are old enough to be ff.

Looking back, William looks tiny in his younger picture.

That said, he was FF in my ex-husband's van from about 15mo. Ex couldn't get it through his skull that RF was safer. I kept him RF in my Corsica until almost 3yo though.

Ryan was RF in his RA after the Elite expired until about 18mo. he got too tall and I didn't have another option for him at that time (newly separated from ex-hubby and working myself to death).

AJ and Evan are both in the rfing album (I need to see if she'll let me update Evan's pic) and AJ is in the eh album too. :) I'll update that next month after he turns 5.

Piper is in the ERF album, but not in the EH album yet since she's not over 40 pounds (and at this rate never will be).

There a few other kids in the EH album that aren't 40#, but still in there b/c by this age most kids would be in a booster no matter the weight. I think it was Jools' Sarah I just looked at.

joolsplus3

Yup :). It's not so much about weight, but more like how old and tall they are that matters, too.

Yeah, but while she's nearly six (which isn't that far out there, IMO, to be harnessed) she's short too. We're talking about what seat to get next, but we may have anywhere up to a year to do it. And she's just in a Wizard, she's not outgrowing anything big.

Or am I just so used to seeing her harnessed and seeing other five, six, and seven year olds harnessed that it seems perfectly normal? LOL

Yeah, your perception is just skewed. You need to get out there and start counting all the kids her size sitting in backless Turbos with the belt behind them

Or in 1999 Birtax Starrisers like my SIL tried to put her in while we were in CA. Her 45 pound kid (two weeks older than Piper) is in a backless Turbo, her older son (just 8 and can't be more than 50 pounds) is in nothing. She was able to scrounge up a back to her spare Turbo and Piper rode in that. Nathan had said she was self conscious about her carseat choices and not to hassle her. If she was self conscious then she felt guilty, and if she felt guilty me pushing her would not do a single thing but make her angry. But man, I wanted to take a picture of that Starriser for you guys. Ick. The cover used to be blue, but it was so faded it was white in a lot of places. It was ripped, and Nathan had left it out on the porch for a couple of days (why his hands were on it in the first place I have no idea) and it looked like it'd been out there for weeks.

Maybe I will submit her. I can't remember if I put her last pictures RFing in the ERFing album either. I should check. :-)

:yeahthat: still harnessed when she's almost six is rare, no matter her size.

It probably looks like my poor 2000 SR/C does :) Faded and worn - that was a 'characteristic' of the early Britax denim.

Yup, Teri, I have 2003 Bodyguards, both with denim covers. One was used more often than the other, and it's faded quite a bit in spots. The other looks almost brand-new, though. It was hardly used.

I'd be happy they're in a seat at all I guess. I've counted 10 of AJ's 15 classmates (all 4 and 5) in nothing at all.

I'm going to send Benjamin's in when he turns 5 in Aug.

I didn't know she had a booster album.

Yes, it is rare around here to be harnessed and 6! Let alone harnessed and 3.

A lady I know has her 7 year old, in a lbb and she is 34 pounds, 40 inches. :-( She said, but she is 7....blah blah
