I have a 3yo who weighs 39# and is 39". Can you recommend a good seat for the side back position in a subaru forester '03?

you could try the frontier. :-) in a subaru i've heard you can use the latch up to 60 lbs so you might not have the install problems everyone else is having.

In that position, I know the Radian installs nicely with LATCH and I see no reason why a Graco Nautilus wouldn't as well. If those are out of your price range, since there are headrests you could consider the Cosco Apex65.

I have a radian LATCHed in and it works well.
