Anyone have any tips for installing a Radian in the center seat with a lap only belt. I've mastered installing it with a lap-shoulder belt, but I cannot get a good install with the lap only belt. Anyone have any tricks that they use?

Did you try reaching through the slit in the front of the cover to pull the tail when tightening? I often have to tighten the lapbelt before I buckle it. It usually takes a few tries to get just the right length, but it seems like the lapbelts I come across don't want to slide when they're buckled.

I've tried tightening it through the slit, but for some reason the belt won't stay tight. So, I've used a locking clip. But, because of where the locking clip sits on the seat, the seatbelt pops out of the locking clip. This is so frustrating. If push comes to shove, I guess I'll put the rf radian in the center and the ff on the side, it just works better the other way.

BTW, I installed my radian rf for the first time and I love it. I've heard a lot of complaints about the boot, but I absolutely love how solid and easy it makes the install. No tipping

You may need to twist the buckle stalk. Have you tried that yet? You can twist the buckle stalk up to 3 full 360 degree turns; that will shorten it so that it rests lower. I'd try that first.

You can't use a locking clip on a lap-only belt, btw. Only lap/shoulder belts.

I've also found I have to flip the latchplate when installing the Radian in with the lap-only seatbelt in my van, otherwise it slips. Flipping the latchplate 180 degrees, so that it's buckled "upside down" locks the latchplate in place in situations where it won't stay locked because of the angle.
