Has anyone installed 3 seats across a '98 Grand AM ? All seatbelt installs, as the car is pre-UAS.

2 seats will be forward-facing Radians (for Boo who will be 6, and Bug who will be 4). The third seat will start out as a rear-facing Regal Ride, but will be something else for forward-facing eventually.

Hmm - basically - how well do Radians install in the Grand AM ?
(Is the backseat wider than the Cavalier ?)

Can't help with the Radian, but I had a 96 Corsica which had the same size seat. It's a few inches wider than a Cavalier.

It's all about puzzling them together - and you've got 3 nice, narrow seats to work with.

I've done a ffing MA, a rfing RA, and a Right fit booster 3 across in my grandpa's 99 Grand Am (his is a 2 door though). I've never put the Radian in his car as a 3 across, but I have put a no-back booster next to it without any problems. The Radian fits fine in all three seating positions, but it goes in a tad bit easier with the recline foot up and the seatbelt routed over the cover instead of under it. The install is easy enough that my 73 yo grandpa can install it on his own.

I did a Cosco infant seat and 2 Marathons. All RF. However that was before my "super anal about car seats" days... so it may not have been perfect installs. I do know they were pretty decent, I just don't remember if I took them out to ensure they were independently installed.

Definitely doable though I'd say.

I have no idea about the carseats but my first car was a 97 Grand Am (silver). I loved that car! I had the 4-door version and the backseat was big enough to fit 3 guys across the back comfortably for a 4 hr drive. I loved the dark fabric interior.
