carseatdata.org has a radian in a 96 camry I'm wondering if the 96 is the same as our 2000.
Has anyone tried it in a 2000 camry? Middle or outboard doesn't matter I just need a good fit somewhere. It doesn't have latch.

My husband manages a salvage yard and keeps up with all of this stuff. He said the '96 is the last year of that body style. 1997-2001 are all the same.

I have a 99 Camry, no LATCH, but I installed the center position top tether on my own :D It's identical to the 2000 model.
Radian fits great ff'ing in the center and outboard. You can see last year's center install in my lower siggy pict. And I have outboard photos ff in this thread (http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=39078&highlight=Jetta+Radian)
Thing to remember is twist the female part of the buckle 3x before even bothering to install the seat. Also having it in 'recline' mode helps for a tighter install & better fit for the seat slant.
When I put it next to the Regent, I buckled first, tightened the belt, then pulled it out all the way to lock it and worked the seatbelt play out of it while my knee was on the seat. Very tight connection.
hth :)

Thanks so much! I was going to try to find one to try in it before buying but now feel comfortable just buying it instead.

I was having a heck of a time getting the seat in. I came back and read that you reclined it first and got it in! :D I'm so glad I was able to learn what you did otherwise it would have just been sitting in my garage for when I needed it for the van.
