booster install -- is this safe

I tried out DS#2's new Monterey in DH's '04 Acura TL. My kids hardly ever ride in that car so I guess I never noticed the strangely placed LATCH anchors (one is closer to the middle of the outboard seat and the other is closer to the middle of the center seat). Once I buckled DS in, I noticed the seatbelt all scrunched up, rather than laying nice and smooth.
Is this considered safe?

How does the seatbelt fit? The SSK engineer said in chat that it may be incompatible with offset lower anchors. That doesn't mean you can't use it in that vehicle, just that the lower anchors can't be utilized.

I'm not 100% sure what your asking, but the seatbelt fit my DS ok across his lap -- it's just all scrunched up when it goes into the lower belt guide and buckle.

I don't think the location of the lower anchors made any difference in how the seatbelt fits. They just made the install a little more difficult.
