The 3 adults in the car died, but the officer states the reason the kids are alive is because they were in their car seats. The kids only suffered minor bruises and scratches.

I saw that on the news... tragic. Those poor babies... alive, yes, but without three family members.

So sad. But, I'm glad the babies are OK. But, without their mommas. :crying:

I always tell my dh (who is directionally challenged) to just calm down, slow down and we'll make it there just fine when we miss an exit. He'd totally try to do that if I didn't freak out. :(

What a sad sad story. And what an incredible testament to proper carseat use and the difference it makes.

Poor babies and the rest of their family. :(

Sad story that's terrible. :(

We had one of our ambulance pull a turn in a service road like that years ago after call available from a call on the interstate. They were hit by an 18 wheeler in the same manor. Both EMTs were flown to the local trauma center and they still have medical problems to this day. :(

There was a crash outside of my home town this past week(or was it the week before) and the driver was killed and the 1 yr old in the back in his carseat was fine...although a passerby removed the child from his carseat.

I saw pics of the crash in the paper today...the whole front of the car was gone...including the front seats.

I know the trooper that did the investigating on it and can probably find out if the child was RF or FF.

Can you imagine how awful that poor truck driver feels :(

What a wreck. They're lucky they didn't kill dozens of people or cause a pileup.

those poor babies :(
