RE: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=19187&highlight=oregon+laws

Saw this thread, but the link to the law no longer works. Do you have a link for something I could print out? My sister's ex-husband's current wife (in Klamath Falls) gave her carseat to my sister for a spare!! It's a Graco that converts to a booster, so my sis couldn't see why she wasn't using it still - her 5th child is only 4 years-old! Then my sister even saw her putting him in the car with NOTHING!!!! She was afraid to say anything to her, since this is the woman's 5th child and she might think she knows everything!

Soo, I told my sister I would mail her the booster 5-pt check, but then found this that says the law there is 8 yrs now! So I want to send her this - thought she was just being unsafe, but she's actually breaking the law!!!!!:thumbsdown:

Anyway, thanks in advance!

Not Scatterbunny, but I am an Oregon resident!! LOL

Here is a link to ACTS Oregon. It is a summary of the law, not an actual wording of the law, but it is much more understandable to the general public.

ETA: I found a better link. It has booster information as well on the same page

Perfect! I've printed out that 2nd link and the "Boosters are for big kids" page to mail to her. And to be safe, I'm going to call my niece who lives with them to confirm he's not riding in anything before I mail it.

Thanks for getting that link, Kristi! :) I'm cleaning house and packing like a madwoman in preparation for Lifesavers (leaving tomorrow), so I haven't been checking in very often today.
