Do we have any other seats in Canada that will keep a child RF as long as the Marathon, EFTA, or Radian? I don't care about how long it keeps a child FF, only worrying about RF for now.

The Intera likely will, possibly the other 3in1's too - depends on weight as most kids outgrow the MA rf'ing by weight first.

24 pounds and 31". Is the Intera Safety 1st? I can't seem to find it on anyone's web sites anymore, I know Costco used to have it.

What about the Titan Elite? or would she outgrow it in height before weight?

Oops, my bad, I was thinking Enspira: http://www.sears.ca/gp/product/B000LQP2AQ/sr=1-5/qid=1207086354/ref=sr_1_5/103-0489456-6770244?ie=UTF8&searsBrand=core&mqnodeid=397280011

Titan Elite would definitely be outgrown by height before weight. It only gives about 1 to 2" more than the SS1.

You'd probably get close to 30lbs in the 3in1 seats like the EB & AO. You can use it rf'ing all the way to the top usable harness position and once the headrest is above the shell of the seat in that last position go by the 1" of room on the headrest. If she did get that tall before hitting 30lbs though, she would've also outgrown it ff'ing at the same time.

The Enspira doesn't have the booby trapped headrest though - the harness height is manually changed with different slots. I believe the harness height is just slightly higher than the EB and AO 3in1's too.

eta: You already know about the tru-fit coming out and that the blvd and diplomat are going to be available. The diplomat does last rf'ing a little longer than the RA, which lasts about 2" longer than a SS1. Depends on what you're looking at budget wise though and how long you want to wait.

Thanks!

Basically, I need to try out a bunch of options in my parents vehicle and see what my dad prefers (in combo with what I prefer for safety features and usability). I can get a good install with the Marathon, but the Yaris seats are a softer foam and the Marathon base is really pulling on the side of the "butt pit" designed into the seats. This is the only time I've ever actually though a restraint may permanently damage the seat in some way (may stretch the fabric out of shape or damage the foam underneath).

My parents have decided they'll rearrange scheduling and such for the next couple months so that they only have to take DD in the car one day per week, even though it's inconvenient. That day I can install the Marathon (if we keep it for our vehicle). Then they can wait to try the TrueFit and maybe even the Boulevard or Diplomat to see what works best.

I'm guessing though that the Boulevard has the exact same base as the Marathon? And what about the Diplomat, does it also have the same base? It intrigues me for their vehicle due to its smaller size; I know my dad would like that.

I'm not worried how long a seat will fit for FF as I'll just get a Frontier, Nautilus or whatever happens to be out here for a good combo seat at the time!
