I bought the Chicco Capri for out trip last year and while it steered great and was fine the handles were too short unless I was wearing flats.
I loved it other wise though. I really like Inglesina (over Mac) but it only goes to 40lbs (although Ryan is holding steady at 30lbs). I know the volvo is an option but I kinda don't like that it doesn't recline (does anyone have an issue with this).
So I need some suggestions of a few lightweight strollers around the $100 range (cheaper if possible) and outside of the handle height I did really like the Chicco.
TIA

I like this one http://www.mystrollers.com/shop/product.aspx?ref=froogle&sku=1792NA4 It has a *really* high seatback...way taller than maclarens, Leah still has a couple inches before her head even reaches the top. I think the weight limit is 40, but my 60 pound 8 yo seems fine in it when I push her inside
Only problem is it's heavy.. maybe the inglesina swift? I think the Trip has even taller handles than the Urbe, too (and they are less tippy than macs, you can hang a bag on the back and the stroller won't go over when he gets up to run...)

I have a Combi Savvy, which does recline, and I think holds up to 45 lbs. It steers pretty nice, and the handle height seems okay (but I'm 5'3", so not one to judge). There are 2 things that I don't like about it - the storage basket SUCKS (mine never stays together and doesn't hold much anyway), but storage in not why you use an umbrella stroller. It also has a tiny sunshade that doesn't seem to actually shade anything. I got mine in 06, but it was a closeout model (an 04 actually), and used it for 2 years (not heavy, but seasonal use).

I bought the Britax Espirit a few years ago and it works for us. My only complaint is that the handles are to short. I am 5'8 and DH is 6ft, so when we push it we have to lean over. It has a ok storage under the seat and the sunshade is small. I would love to have the Inglesina Swift. I have heard really good things about the stroller, the handles are tall and it folds compact. I am waiting to get the Twin Swift when we have another one. I like them over the Mac, cause it has three handles instead of two.

I think I'll get an Inglesina (either the swift or that urbe on sale) - I really love inglesina and it's nice to know that if you go over the weight limit it isn't that bad.
Jools, when you say the Urbe is heavy, how heavy????
Thanks again,
Steph

I get about 15 pounds when I hold it on my bathroom scale...seems a little more solid than my Baby Jogger Mini, obviously much heftier than my Volo, and way lighter than my Mountain Buggy. I used it again for a big day out on Sunday and was so pleased with it...Leah ran and ran and then she settled right into it for a nice rest...the leg extension is great, she put her feet up and really chilled out.

I don't actually have it yet, but I've ordered a Zooper Twist. I has a 55 lb weight limit, 19" backrest, and a nice wide 13" seat. Looks like it has a decent recline and a great sun shade. Also comes with a rain cover and UV cover (and a foot muff in the US). It costs more than the $100 you said you wanted to spend, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway because I also only wanted to spend $100 but this one just had everything I wanted for a more reasonable price than comparable strollers.
Like I said, I don't have it yet, so I've got my fingers crossed that it's as good as it sounds!

Hi,
I have a Zooper twist and really love it! I think that it would be great for an older child. This stroller has so many great features, is very sturdy and I do not kick the wheels as with most umbrellas(including maclaren).
