Anyone still find FPSVD??

Anyone still have a FPSVD at their Baby Depot? I am in the market for one (or two) and wanted to know if there are any left that aren't on albeebaby for $129 which I think is high for a year old seat.

I am in Atlanta but could drive a good distance to get them, or could pay someone to buy an ship assuming it wouldn't be more than the 129 :)


Leads anyone...? I have been on their website and cannot find it. I also went to one near me, and nothing.

I can tell you there are none in the Savannah Baby Depot. I was just there last month.

There are also none left in the Macon Baby Depot as of last weekend. I frequently stop there for a bathroom break (they have big bathrooms and the biggest selection of baby stuff) on my way home.

The stores with ship to other stores, but you have to pay shipping. I just found out today though that shipping from store to store ends April 6th and doesn't start again until May 31st. So it will have to happen soon, or not at all. In Murray Utah, talk to Marjorie. She is very nice.

I went to Baby Depot today to try to track one down, and they called Judi and let me talk to her, and I was able to track one down through her! Thanks again Judi! It was so cool to be able to talk to you, I'm glad you just happened to be at work right then!

Those people at the store looked at me like I was crazy when I was explaining I only know you from an online message board about car seats! When they were on the phone with Florida, they were telling them that 2 seats were being held for me, and at the same time I was trying to tell them, "No, they weren't held just for me, they were held for anyone from this car seat board, so someone might have already gotten them, they were put under the name "Judi" so any of us on the board could get them, they aren't specifically just for me, unless one is still available." I don't think they really understood what I meant, and before they even called any stores they were basically like "Your not going to be able to find any, they are marked down to $29 now, they will be long gone!"

Anyway, I'm just glad I was able to find one, thanks again Judi!

I just went back to my baby depot and had the manager call FL herself to confirm shipment of all three seats. (two in boxes and one floor model in tan tech). They gave her a lot of trouble but then said they will ship all three on Monday. I hope the DOM isn't too bad but anything not expired is an improvement at this moment.

I should have them in GA by Wed. They charged me $4 per seat for shipping! I thought they were mistaken but they called transfer and that was the right price.


And I know I sound greedy but two of the seats are going to people who really need them as a safe primary seat. (I have been worried sick about my niece in an expired garage sale seat for several months. They can finally afford to replace it........I'm gonna tear up that other one myself!) The other is going to my greedy self :whistle:

A little OT, but I remember when the FP Safe Embrace was discontinued in 2001. I scored three from different Walmarts for around $89, I think. Then for some dumb reason, decided I didn't need one of them and took it back. By the time I realized I DID need a third seat, of course, it was gone. I ended up with a AO from Costco. :rolleyes: I'm STILL using the FPSE seats!

That's ok. Holly, I am hoping your seat is at my store by Friday. I work in the afternoon. Lifesavers is Sunday-Tuesday, inventory is Tuesday and Wednesday. That is when i don't want to ship anything out. So this Friday, or wait for next Friday. I sure hope, this Friday.

I even went to my local baby depot looking for it and they said it was $30 as well, plus when we couldnt find it, we called Judi's store and she was there! It's not like she was just pretending to be a worker there just so she could answer the phone when they called :rolleyes: :D

They even told me to do a reverse phone number lookup of the number you called me from, so I did, and yep, just as I thought, it comes up Baby Depot, Salem Oregon! LOL! I think maybe they were just surprised that I paid over the phone with my card and all. I don't really see it as any different than ordering something over the phone with a credit card.


Oh, and did it go out with UPS on Friday or is it going out tomorrow?

I called Albee yesterday asking if they were going to mark down or if they would price match. The guy I spoke to said they had no plans to mark down. When I told him they were discontinued and that Baby Depot had them marked down to $29 - he said he couldn't/wouldn't match that.

He also told me I must have been confusing the seat with the booster.:p I told him no - I knew what I was talking about and it was the seat.

I hit the Baby Depot in Paramus, NJ and near Wayne/Pine Brook, NJ and they have none. :( Bummer.

I wonder where HEVY saw them. She is in NJ too.

Our Baby depot is a mess, unfortunately. I should go just to snoop and see, but the baby dept is so trashed you almost cannot walk through there. :(

I do remember seeing FPSVD the first time I went in there about 18 months ago. I didn't know what it was or I would have bought one.

I called the Glen Oaks store to try to help Judi and they swear the do not have it....? You should send your relative by if they are near there. They look and find it in the computer but cannot find it on the floor.

There are only two left (maybe) in all the Baby Depots. I can guarantee that I will not be able to get you one, sorry.

I can tell you there aren't any in Atlanta, GA. They may not have taken it out of the computer from when I had some shipped from Miami to Atlanta (Buford Highway store). There are three stores in my area and I frequent two regularly. I also called the third store once and was told they never carried them.

I checked Atlanta yesterday. They sold theirs. I supposedly have the one from Glen Oaks. I bet you they don't ship, I call back and they are clueless. They are the last Baby Depot store to have one, well, except for me.

To make things worse, the price went down to $9.99!!!

Wow! Where in Texas did you find it? I called every store and was told they were completely out! (I called back in May).

Really wish I had gotten one, especially with the car accident. Now I really need it.

It was one of the newer stores. I remember it was #486, but don't remember where it is. I really tried to find the ones I could and called the same stores over and over to find all I could. I had four people on the list that didn't get one plus more that PM'ed me.
