Okay so I posted a while back a couple "I can't decide what to buy" threads. However, I still haven't been able to make any decisions so to avoid complicating things, I'm going to go one kid at a time. Hopefully you guys can help.

Lets start with Faith: 6yo, 49 lbs, 17 inch torso. In DH's truck she is currently in a Clek backless booster. DH's truck is a 2003 Dodge Dakota, latch equipped. My truck is a 2001 Dodge Durago, no latch. Faith will be in the third row, passenger side outboard position in my truck. Currently we are moving the Clek back and forth, which is a huge PITA because of the stiff latch on it and the no latch in my vehicle.

Options:
#1 - Suffer with the Clek until the Frontier or Monterey come to Canada. :(
#2 - Get her something else that's available now. (Turbo booster, Compass?, ______?,_________?)
#3 - Convince DH to get her something else now to put in my truck, and then when the new seats come out in summer, get one of those, move the "new available now" seat to DH's truck, and chuck the Clek.
(Personally I like option #3, but what to get her?)
#4 - Relocate to the US so I can buy a Nautilus, a Frontier, and a Monterey, and just rotate them until I pick a favorite. :D

I really do not think she'll sit in a Parkway with those headwings. Especially after being in a lbb.

PLEASE help me out. My head is spinning thinking of all the possibilities (we need at least 3 new seats for 3 different kids). And plus, I really want to go shopping.

Since she's 6...if she sleeps in the car, the Parkway is a great option. I know you just barely mentioned it and don't think she will like it--you're the parent, and after a few trips she should be just fine. The wings aren't as restrictive as they look and the complaints with a HBB with wings are likely to be equal to or less than the complaints with re-harnessing. The Parkway will be a great part-time seat for the older kids, once one of the other seats you've mentioned come out. It's also not much more expensive than the Clek (which I'm not fond of for a 6 year old..), and a whole lot more of a seat, IMO.

Have you tried her in the Parkway? My son moved from a Husky (very wide seat) to a Parkway, and he actually loves the side wings. He can fall asleep comfortably in it, and rest his head on the wings like pillows on trips.

I do like option #3, I'd go with a Parkway or a Turbo booster, likely.

No, I haven't tried her in a Parkway. I should do that. Sleeping is not a big issue as they will be primarily in my truck for shorter trips (to the store, out for dinner, etc.) I think I'll take her to try the Parkway. It's $119.00 at the closest store to us. Anyone know of any better deals online? (That are CDN Parkways)
