I am opening up a Britax parts co-op for anyone interested in placing a parts order.

All orders will be tallied and cost calculated prior to you making payment. Once I have everything figured out I will send everyone an individual invoice through paypal. Please keep in mind that I am required to pay a fee to receive payments through paypal. Having said that each order place will have the paypal fee added to the invoice. Its only a few cents on small amounts.
When paying by paypal I will only accept funded paypal. If you send your payment with a credit card or bank transfer you will be required to pay the fee. Sorry, no IOU's. If you have not paid prior to the order being placed your item/s will not be ordered. So, expect to send payment by Tues April 1st. Order will most likely go in by Thurs April 3rd.



If you want to place an order, PM me with your order.

Co-op will close on Mon Mar 31st @ 12pm, so be sure to have your order in by then.

Anyone who feels like helping out with the co-op let me know. I could probably use at least 1 extra pair of hands.

I need some tan comfort pads, but have been putting it off due to tax/shipping. How will this co-op work? Do we all split shipping for one order?

Alot of you seem to be interested in covers this time around.

So, I'll tell you what. If someone wants to jump on the wagon and help me out with this co-op I will include covers as well.

I planned on just doing a parts order and no covers to keep it simple.

This is my first go at a co-op and don't want to get in over my head. So, if someone wants to volunteer their co-op expertise and give me hand so I don't screw it up.....LOL I don't see why we couldn't order covers as well.

So, please bear with me here, I'm a newbie co-oper.

Ideally someone that is located in the US that could accept the orders and then sort and ship them would be ideal. I am in Canada and will be shipping everyone's order from Canada unless someone else wants to accept the orders.
You will need to keep in mind that because I am in Canada all orders need to clear customs ,both from Britax and then again from me to you.

From what I can deduct...
- if there is a US address for Britax to send parts to, then it would make better sense for US and Canadian mamas to participate
- if there is no US address and Britax is to send parts to Canada, it would only make sense for Canadian mamas to participate. US mamas would be dinged for higher shipping and possibility of duties and taxes and wait time for the parcel to clear custom at the border
- Covers don't seem to worth the bother with a co-op since we are only doing it to share the high shipping for a small item like a chest clip. If you are interested in a cover, just order directly from Britax because it is big and heavy enough to justify the shipping Britax charges (either for Canadian or US address)

I do have a member in the US that is willing to accept the orders. So this co-op is good for both those in the US and Canada.

I wouldn't be able to confirm that without calling Britax directly. You can also give them a call to double check before placing an order.

Hello,

I am interested in a few parts for my sons Marathon. I live in San Leandro, CA.


I will be ordering the Buckle (#H407100), harness (#H407400) , and maybe the 2x Huggs (L328500), all in the gray color.

If the shipping is only $8.50 for the entire order then I will pay the shipping for the original order.
If the shipping is more then that it will be equally shared by everyone who places an order. For ex: if shipping is $20 and 10 people place an order then we'd each pay $2.00.

You will then need to pay the shipping from the receivers address to yours.

Anyone who wishes to place an order needs to PM with their order please.

You also need to remember that any fee's I have to pay to paypal to receive your payments you will need to pay. I JUST CHECKED PAYPAL TO ENSURE EVERYONE PAYS THE APPROPRIATE RATE OF FEE'S FOR THEIR PAYPAL PAYMENT. EVERY PAYMENT I RECEIVE FROM A US PERSON IS SUBJECT TO A RATE OF 13%. SO PLEASE ADD 13% TO YOUR INVOICE TOTAL TO COVER THOSE FEE'S. THAT IS WHAT I HAVE TO PAY TO PAYPAL TO RECEIVE YOUR PAYMENT.

Airforcemomma will be updating once she can--she doesn't have full use of one of her hands due to a rather large cast. I emailed her and she says she'll call Britax on Monday for status on the order.

I did a co-op a few months ago and ran into the same problem--it took Britax a few weeks to ship to me, and then it was another week or so for people to get the re-shipped items. I suspect they might be having supply issues or they're just plain slow. They do eventually ship out, though.

Thanks QuassEE for giving a brief update for me.

For those of you who don't know I broke my hand in 3 places and had 2 surgeries to fix it. I really have not been up to doing anything let alone typing messages online. I have just started catching up with everyone in the last day.

I will let everyone know where the order is at once I have spoken with Britax.

My last CC statement that came last week shows no charges from Britax. They may be out of stock on certain parts, or just very slow. I have been waiting since Feb 29th for an a order I placed with them for MA lockoffs if that says anything.

Anyway, please be patient...:)

A couple of the items ordered are out of stock and Britax expects a shipping date of May 15th. That is when the order would be shipped from Britax to the member in KY who is receiving the order.

I know this is frustrating and none of us expected things to take this long. I would have thought Britax would have at last called me with the issue. There was also an issue with the billing address on my CC being different then the shipping address. My address is Canadian , receivers address is american.

Hopefully everyone can be patient just a little longer.

Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get the lockoffs I ordered Feb 29th with this order.....LOL

I have no idea what tell people at this point. This order is taking forever to be filled/shipped. I have received no confirmation from Britax and my credit card still has not been billed. I've called to enquire and then get told they will look into it and call me back.I have yet to receive a return call.

I'm wondering if the order has been lost somewhere between the computer and their warehouse. I honestly don't know.

I know this very frustrating for everyone who placed an order as well as unexpected. I'm not impressed with Britax. And the lockoff's and EPP foam that I ordered on Feb 29th....still have not come either.

If anyone wants to cancel their order and get a refund let me know.

You've got to wonder if Britax is ignoring parts production due to issues with supplying the Frontiers or something--I know a number of people still waiting on parts orders they made 3m ago. Not just the co-op.

I got my money back. I just ordered a pad set and don't need it that badly. If it was something I really needed, I might have waited. Good luck. I hope the rest of the order makes it soon.

I ordered a new harness, a pad set, and chest clips a couple of weeks ago and got them just fine in a week or so! Weird that this order isn't being fulfilled!!

I orderd a new MA black harness, 2 adjusters, 2 chest clips, a set of black comfort pads and a set of gray hugs just 2 weeks ago. :) I got it in about 4 days, but only because it ran over into the weekend. I have found when you call your order in as opposed to ordering over the internet that I have gotten orders filled faster. Don't know if that could make a difference or not.:shrug-shoulders:

Mama, I am not sure what kind of PayPal account you have, but if you're getting charged fees per transaction, there shouldn't be extra fees for CC payments. For example, a Premier account gets charged fees for EVERY transaction, it doesn't matter if funded or CC (and the fee is the same for both).

Also, the fees sound insanely high. If you've got a Canadian account, fees should be no more than 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction; nowhere near 13%.

Anyhoo, I might have missed something where you mentioned why your fees are so high, but I just wanted to point it out so you can check into your PayPal account. I'd hate for you to be getting double charged fees (the first paragraph I quoted) and crazy high fees (2nd paragraph) if it's not warranted.

If I have just misunderstood, then I apologize for barging in! :)

I am sending you all PM's. My DH came home from deployment for for a couple wks and went away on holidays ..it has been wks sinceI have been online and am now in the process of refunding...Some of you have already been refunded and some of you are still waiting.....I have not heard from the other board member who was receiving the order so have no idea if she has the order or not....My credit card was charge the order on June 12 th. Yes, several wks after the order was placed....

If any of you want a refund please go into your paypal acct and send a money request to robw@sympatico.ca for the amount of your order.

Once I receive your request I will issue the refund.

So sorry for all the problems encountered with this order...Britax has thoroughly disappointed me....My order placed on Feb 28th to this day has still not come..RF lockoff's and EPP foam were in that order..Britax has told me they would look into it and call me back several times now and have never returned a call....I've just accepted the fact that those parts I ordered are never going to arrive.

Again my apologies to all of you....send me the money request through your paypal acct and your money will be refunded.

Yes. They finally charged my CC for the order on June 12th. I will be contacting them again next week to confirm it has shipped.

In the meantime, please keep your eye out for the order and let me know if you get it.

Some orders have been refunded already, so if you receive the order please do not ship anything to anyone until I have sent you the list of who has been refunded and who has not. refunded orders will need to go back to Britax so I can get my CC refunded for those orders.

Have you PM'ed the person who was supposed to receive the order? If you have and nobody is getting back to you in months, I'd file a dispute with your credit card company if you paid by credit card. Hopefully it's not past the date you can do that. It's already much too late to file with PayPal.

Try PMing munchkin. As far as I know she was supposed to receive the parts. Airforcemama was just placing the order and collecting the money.

Hi all. I have yet to receive anything or hear anything about the order. I am sorry this is dragging out so long, but I have really no idea what to do. All I know is I am waiting for the parts to show up at my house, which they have yet to do. I promise as soon as I know something or I receive the box I will let all of you know, until then I know no more than you guys do. Hopefully this will be resolved soon and we will all either get our parts or our money. If there is anything I can/should be doing please let me know and I will try my best to do so. Thanks Katie

Apparently the order was never fulfilled by Britax, or there were some issues. You can PM Airforcemomma for a refund. Let me know if you have any problems after contacting her to request a refund. She's more than happy to refund people, but she has been really busy and hasn't been checking the forums regularly.

I want this done and over with. All of you that requested a refund received a refund through paypal.

If you requested a refund and didn't get it then that means I didn't get your message. I am very rarely online anymore between my job and my family. When I get a message it's responded to and when I get a refund request it's refunded.

If you are still without your parts send me your paypal address and you will receive your refund....I will check my messages regularly throughout the weekend and reply/refund any requests once I get them.

The last refund request I received was in Sept and I have heard nothing since then from anyone....so, that implies to me that those who were not refunded received their parts.

Again, I want this done and over with....if you didn't get your parts send me your paypal address and I will refund your payment if you have not already been refunded.
