Outgrowing seats

Probably a stupid question, but about how much longer do kids last RF in a MA in comparison to a RA? I'm trying to figure out if I need another MA. DD is 12 months 29.5", 19 pounds, about 10" torso. How long do you think she'll last RF in RA? When did your kids need to be turned in their RA's?

Ds outgrew the RA rf about a year ago (going by the head even with the top rule). He still has plenty of room the MA (going by the 1" of shell above his head rule). He'll probably reach the rf weight limit before the height. I wouldn't expect the RA to last more than 24 months for most children.

My DS outgrew the RA rfing by height at 19 months. He outgrew the MA rfing by height at 4 yrs 2 months.

These are pictures of my son at 16 months old, about 21 pounds in a Roundabout. And at 3 years old, 26 pounds in Marathon. The pic in my siggy was taken recently at 3 1/2 years old, 27 pounds. He still has at least another year left RF in the Marathon.

My daughter had almost a year longer RF time in the MA than she did in the RA,and she had several large growth spurts during that time. (She jumped from the 50th percentile for height & weight to the 75th in that time.)

My friend's VERY long-torso'd DD got another 9 months RF by switching from a RA to a MA. She outgrew RF by weight in the MA; the RA, she'd have to have been FF at about 14 mos. (Again, she's unusually long-torso'd, not your average kid!)

Thanks ladies looks like I need to sell my RA and buy yet another MA. How much do you think I should ask for a ten month old RA it is one of three my DD has and is hardly used, it's in the no longer available Aloha pattern.
