Child Restraint Technician Certification Training In Alberta?

I found somewhere here in Ontario where I can get my Certification, however DH wants to know if its possible to get trained in Alberta. I looked on the SJA site, and can't find anywhere in Alberta to take the course....does someone else offer it out there?? Or do you usually travel to take it??

It's available in Edmonton, AB. The next course is May - I'm not sure if it's full yet or not, after that there likely won't be another course until fall.

Red Deer also runs them (I travelled to Red Deer for mine since I didn't want to wait 5 mos...) I have the email for the southern AB instructor that you could contact to find out if/when the next course will be and where. I can also provide you with the course registration info for the Edmonton one. You'd have to check to see if it's full or not though. (I'm not at home right now, so it'll be late tonight or tomorrow before I would be able to email you the pdf, but just email me through my profile and I can reply with the attachment if you want to check in to the Edmonton course. :thumbsup: )

SJA is the national organization that does the training at present. Many of the branches are unfamiliar with it being one of the courses they offer though, so it's quite common to get a bit of a run around when you call. But that's who does the courses in AB. (The cost is $125 here, not sure what it is in ON.)

I wont be in the Alberta area until Mid Summer at the earliest....I was just wondering if they offered it there, if I don't get the opportunity to take it here!

The Southern AB instructor/coordinator works out of the Lethbridge office. If you call SJA there they should know exactly how to get you in touch with her - her name is Kim Laing. :) (That's who taught the course aidensmom02 and I took in Red Deer. We both travelled there to get our certification. LOL.)
