i re-installed the sceneras in the twins ('06 impala's) one in the center, one outboard. i re-installed to get a more upright incline. i think i went a little too far... please take a look??

i think i need to re-do my mom's install. it seems to move a little bit more than in dh's car. i made videos of the movement i got on both cars, but mom wants to go out, so i will post those later if you need them. (we're gonna take dh's car, i am more comfortable with that install.)
so what do you think?

Your dd is about 5mos now?

The one in your dh's car might be ok, or it might need a little bit more of a recline. If she was older - like 10mos or more, I'd say the angle was definitely fine... just depends on what your dd's head control is like. With his car you can probably get more recline just by pushing on the back of the carseat (by the front edge of the vehicle seat) when tightening the belt. Standing behind and using your stomach to push in and down works great.

Your mom's install is definitely too upright. I'd use a towel to recline it more. My guess would be if you get a towel rolled up tightly that's about 5" in diameter, and then put pressure near the foot area when tightening it in order to compress the towel, you should get a good angle. (For width with towels usually around 12 or 13" is good. You don't want it too long or it'll interfere with the seatbelt.)

well, were back from out little outing, and she fell asleep in the car on the way home, and her head stayed up fine in dh's car. i will fix my mom's tomorrow. (getting cold and darker) at least now i know what to look for in that vehicle.
now i get to do my car tomorrow when dh gets home from work with my car. another workout.
