View Full Version : Disappointed with DOM

I bought a new safeseat from Albeebaby for baby #2 due in 6 weeks. It just arrived and the dom is 12/06. It will be almost a year and a half old before we use it. I am so disappointed especially since dh and I plan to have 2 more babies. Should I call albee and see if I they will replace it with a newer one or just keep this one and get another new infant carrier down the road.

Was it on sale at all? I'd probably give them a call. That's a pretty old DOM.

The regular price was $149 and it was on sale for $145, real big difference:rolleyes:

YUK i'd call. maybe they can gove you a prorated refund. since it was $145. per yr is $24.17. you lost 1yr & what 3-4m from order date. so maybe a $30 refund would help?

We just got a Graco TB from them & it had the same DOM. I was a little disappointed but it was a decent discount for the model with Gracopedic foam, so I'm going to deal...

Besides, in less than five years it will expire & I will have a great excuse to go buy whatever new, fabulous booster is on the market.:p

That is kind of how I look at it now after thinking about it. I am going to try and get them to give me a discount of some sort as I paid nearly full price for the seat, only $5 off. I bought dd's dc from there in 11/06 and the dom on it was 8/06, so was just disappointed with such an old dom for the ss1.

I was debating calling a few stores around my parents that are supposed to have this pattern to see if I could get a newer dom from them and just sell this one on CL. Then I realized that if this one expires before I am done with infant seats dh will have to let me buy a new one.

I just ordered the Roxy SS1 from them for 99.99, and the manufacture date was 11/07. It's actually newer than the Nautilus that I bought by about a week or so.
