Just wondering if any one knows which safe seat might have the cushiest/warmest padding? I missed out on the park ave pattern with the boot at costco, but there is another one without the boot, I'm wondering if this is the better option? Can you purchase the cold weather boot seperately from graco?
Sorry for the many questions... baby girl is on her way....:o

Hi, not sure if there is much difference in the padding in the SS1 line. :) Some seem to have more infant pillows in them and the boot. Not sure if the boot is available extra or not, but you could also check out Graco.com to see. They all should have the EPS foam, but the material the fabric is made out of for each particular pattern will vary. There is a difference in the SS1(safeseat 1) and the Snugride. They are 2 very different seats as with the SS1 will hold up to 30lbs and the Snugride only 22lbs. Maybe someone else will chime in that can tell you more. My SS1 is the French Roast and is very soft but made out of a slicky material.:D

I'm guessing that you want a seat with the Gracopedic foam. Costco.ca (http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10307195&whse=BCCA&Ne=4000000&eCat=BCCA|20373&N=4009683&Mo=1&No=0&Nr=P_CatalogName:BCCA&cat=20498&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-CA&Sp=C&topnav=) has a SS1 in Rittenhouse that has Gracopedic foam . . . there were some questioning whether it had gracopedic foam or not but I saw one IRL a couple of weeks ago and it did. As far as the boot goes, it is pretty much a blanket that many complain just gets in the way or won't stay on. For colder weather I would just get a showercap style cover :twocents:

The gracopedic foam is the cushier seat right? Funny I just assumed the boot would actually attach to the seat, sort of like a bundle bag, if it is just a blanket well, than that's just silly IMO. Thanks for the imput... should I take the plunge with the Costco.ca Safe seat?
Also what is the difference between the safe seat and the SS1???

The boot does attach but it is pretty flimsy and doesn't stay on very well.
The Safe seat 1 and SS1 are the same thing, SS1 is just an abbreviation. Graco also has a Safe seat 3 available in Canada and that is a booster seat.

Thank you for the clarification. I've seen them listed as the Safe seat and the Safe seat 1, I think even on the Graco website, very confusing.
