i just got one from Amazon but i think its a crap shoot. i dont think you will be able to guarantee it unless you get it from BRU or another store where ou can look at the DOM. ;(

I'm willing to buy in the store. Does anyone know if they have them in the stores right now?

Our local BRU had some 35-lb BV on the shelf a week or two ago. :)

awesome, I think I will head across town tomorrow to check it out. I hate the pattern they had last time :( Guess I'll be switching covers!

I was playing at a BRU today and they didnt have one new dom. Most were from Nov 2007:thumbsdown:

babycatalog.com is where I just ordered mine from. Unfortunately, they are awaiting a new shipment, so it will be about a month until her seat arrives on our front porch. They assured me that the seat will be the 35lb RF limit, though.

I *think* someone said www.hipmonkey.com had 35 lb britax convertables. I would check first though. http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=37753

Does anyone know if Target.com has them yet? I have one DOM Jan 08, 33 lb RF, still new in the box from them. I am considering returning it if I could get the 35 lb RF limit. I have until May 5th to return the one I have. Maybe I just need to relax and wait another month before ordering another one to be sure.

If you call travleingtikes.com they will check the DOMs for you. I am sure that you can ask if they have 35lb ones.

BabyAge had 35# RA's during the sale. I'm not sure about the BV's, but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask them.

Really? I know they updated the manual at the end of January, but I didn't think anyone had actually seen one before a couple weeks ago.

Okay I lied. Or actually, babycatalog.com is lying. Their website says its 35lbs, but I just received one today and it is only 33lbs. Its probably going back...

All the Britax car seats are already rated for the higher weights. It's just the packaging/stickers that say 33 or 35. Even Britax's web site says both weights. Call their customer service line and you can confirm at 1-888-4BRITAX. I wish more people realized this fact.

Others, including this site's founder, were told by Britax that the 35 lb. RF limit is not retroactive and to follow the weight limit stated on the label for any given seat. http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=32385&highlight=sarah+tilton
This is the info. that we wish to make more people aware of, and not what the retailers seem to be claiming with regard to Britax convertible seats.
