Hi,

My wife has given me the task of choosing an infant seat for our arrival in May. I'm more or less certain that the Keyfit 30 is the seat although I'm having difficulty matching a lightweight stroller to the seat. I've read the posts and understand the Snap nGo and the Graco frames work. I tried them out at BabiesRUS and felt that the seat was not secure - I could have been user error and I plan on trying them out again. I'm also looking for other options - the travel system strollers are too heavy and awkward for us. We plan on getting an all terrain later.

We are going to be using it for general running around and traveling. I'd like to keep the cost firly resonable.

Thanks

Andrew

Andrew, I'm moving your post to the strollers forum. :)

(OK, Trudy beat me to the punch, but it's in the stroller forum now anyway.)

Often those stroller frames come with belts to fasten the seat into place securely...not sure if the ones you tried had them, or they were missing or what, but it's usually the way to lock the seat into place. The Maclaren Easy Traveler would be the one I'd go with... macs are super light and quick to fold and I've heard the KF fits on it (though possibly not 'officially').
There's a new parent perception that the infant seat must 'snap' onto the frame to be safe, but it's not necessary as long as all the other safety precautions are followed.

But I WISH someone would get with the cross marketing and approval of these things... it's such a popular seat it should be on every stroller frame sale page as compatible or not.
