Because they're about the same price. It is comfortable carrying the Radian just using 2 carry straps? Are there pictures anywhere so I can see how that works? Thanks.

Hi, I just got back from a airplane trip where I took the Radian for my niece. I had the Radian, my niece (3), and a carry on. I am so glad that I had two straps to carry it like a backpack. I actually used two old LATCH straps and was able to put it on and then tighten the straps so the carseat was tight on my back. I was able to chase after her with it tight and didn't feel like I was carrying anything! I left the LATCH straps on the carseat for the airplane trip, but took them off for it the car.

I've used both the bag and the straps. And hands down the straps. The backpack had rough straps that cut into my shoulders (literally, I bled once). I ended up putting the strap comfort pads from the Radian on the straps for the backpack. Plus mine ripped a little after a half dozen trips or so, and it was so must more awkward to get it into the bag properly. With the straps you just leave them on on the plane, and then pop it on your back. They're well padded and quite comfortable.

I have trouble getting the Radian into it's bag. I vote straps.
