I have a DC with the newer style FF lockoffs. I can't find a pic of how they are used. Does anyone have one? I'm not using the seat FF yet, but am very curious about how I would use them. I did a search with no luck. TIA.

You turn it so it's vertical (parallel to the beltpath), tighten the seatbelt, slip the shoulderbelt into the lock-off and turn it back horizontal (perpendicular to the beltpath). It's not my favorite design.

Here's the best I could do in my garage with my cell phone and the seat still rf. :o

I took these pics demonstrating the forward facing lock-offs while my seat was installed RFing:
Turn to open, like this:

Install the seat and turn the knob so the lock-off pinches the shoulder belt, like this:

I hate those lockoffs, they damaged my seatbelt.

Thanks so much! Is it difficult to get the lockoff to close over the seatbelt? It looks like a really tight squeeze.

It is actually fairly easy to close them I liked the old ones better though. I can see how they culd damage a seatbelt like Gypsy said happened to her.

I was wondering about this possibility--they look like the could leave a hole over time.

Did Britax have anything to say about it?

I don't remember what they said, but they certainly didn't take responsibility for it or offer to do anything about it.

I just don't use the lockoffs, I lock at the retractor or use LATCH.

I just saw these lock offs for the first time. I thought the same thing about them possibly damaging the seat belt. When did they switch to these. Both of mine have the old ones.

I think in the last two years. My August 06 RA had them my March 05 one did not.

I had a BLVD that had the newer style lockoffs. I never had any problem with them damaging the seat belts in my Buick Rendezvous, but I can see how it could happen.

I found them very, very simple to use. It was never a tight squeeze or anything like that. Maybe the problem is only if you have a vehicle that has "thicker" seat belts?
