Ok, I think I have a problem. The manual says the latch connectors should be on the outside of the recline bar with the LBP. They aren't. One is over the RB. I tried using the seatbelt, but it isn't long enough. We will be moving to the SBP in 1.5-2lb, but until then......????

I'm not a tech.
What if you try putting the vehicle seat back more upright then when you place the Regent in the seat try to put the recline bar up on the seatback instead of at the bight? That might do it for you :)

That's what I was going to suggest and I am a tech :).

yes use your kness to move the seat back so the recline bar is on the seat. The position you're talking about is when it's put under and inside the recline bar. Like this.

I'm curious though, I've heard that the latches are for outboard seats, it looks like the latches are too close together which would make sense why they look wrong. I think your seat needs to be outboard to use latch.

Thanks for the replies! I will re-install and see what I can do. I'm sure I'll be back with pictures! lol!
Oh, and, our truck has latch for one outboard, and the middle. I agree the connectors seem too close, but I am using the 3rd and 4th ones, so they are the correct ones. I might try moving it outboard also though, as the connectors do seem farther apart on that seat! :)

As long as you're not routing the latch straps inside the recline bar, its considered outside the recline bar. Make sense? I had that issue briefly when I was first installing our regent.
The latch anchors on the chair are closer together than the recline bar is wide. So it was weird at first.

Ok! That makes me feel a lot better! I actually tried installing with the seatbelt again, and managed by a hair, so it's not an issue anymore. I'm glad to know though, that there wasn't anything I could do to fix the problem. I was out in the truck for almost 2 hours last night cussing at the car seat! :D
