... for a friend. She has a 4yo and she wants to buy higher weight seats for him but doesn't have tether anchors in two of their three cars, and she realizes the importance of them.

Can someone check the LATCH manual for any info on:

1991 Alfa Romeo 164
1995 Alfa Romeo 164 ???

My friend's dh actually works at the dealership and they aren't aware of any anchors that are available.

If there are indeed none available, where can they get universal anchor kits? It seems they have been talking about putting them in themselves for a while but didn't know where to purchase the parts.

The LATCH manual doesn't have an Alfa Romeo section at all, sorry I can't be of more help in that regard. :( I think new Alfa sales ceased in the U.S. after the '95 model year, and their relative scarcity probably explains the lack of an Alfa section in the LATCH manual. I would suggest double checking in the owner's manual for any hint of anchor information (you all probably did this already, just a long shot suggestion on my part :)), and possibly trying the Contact Us link on Alfa Romeo's home page. (http://www.alfaromeo.com/cgi-bin/pbrand.dll/NEWALFA_COM/controller/home.aspx?language=1) You could also try contacting EZ-On (http://www.ezonpro.com/index.shtml)to see if they have any suggestions.
